"Open New Window" check box
Quote from Timothy Case on July 24, 2024, 11:29 amI have two questions:
- Is there any possibility of updating the HCSB to its current updated version CSB?
- I'm using version 6.21. When I use "View Passage" to open a verse, the first time, whith no other windows open, the box next to "Open New Window" is checked by default. Great. After that, whenever I use "View Passage" again, the box next to "Open New Window" is unchecked by default and requires that I check it each time.
Is this functioning correctly or is there a way of having it deafult to checked? I often forget to check it and then loose the window I had previously opened.
I genuinely love this program and am very thankful for it. I've been using it for many, many years.

Quote from Timothy Case on August 24, 2024, 9:55 amI solved my own question.
It appears that the checkbox under "Phrase Search" that is listed as the option: "Open New Window" determines the state of the checkbox under "View Passage" then "Open New Window". If it's checked under "Phrase Search", then it's also checked under "View Passage".

Quote from Tom Campbell on September 3, 2024, 6:31 pmI too have asked about CSB and NASB20 as well as the apparent forthcoming revision to the ESV. It appears that, while NASB is good enough for the app, it's not good enough for the computer version. IDK if they will update anything and steer us to buying the Analytical. Sad. I've used this program since 1992, but such a cavalier attitude towards God's Word could send me elsewhere. I hope they change their minds.

I'm having trouble with that, too.

Seems this is a glitch that might ought to be reported to the designer so they can fix it in future revisions.
