Notes question

I used notes to cross-reference two Scriptures to use in a teaching I am preparing. After adding and saving the cross-reference under NOTES for each of the verses, the leading verse numbers changed to green. This indicates the presence of the notes. Then I closed OLB. On restarting it a few minutes later I was informed the module, NOTES, was successfully installed.  Wasn't it there all along?  After all, I worked in it. The cross references were still there, but the green text for the verse to indicate the presence of personal notes was absent. I edited the notes some, so as to get the marker reestablished, but got the error message as in the attachment.

I am at loss for a solution, and glad that I am not talking of hours of work here. What did I omit and or what did I do wrong?

Advice, anyone?

(As a side note, the instruction in it the screenshot, namely "To PRINT this message PASTE it into your Word Processor and print>" has NEVER worked for me. Never.)

Try rebuilding the notes index.

1. Go to "Tools - User Module Tools - Define User material".

2. Select "Notes" in the name section.

3. Click on the "Module Description" tab and enter your name.

4. Click on the "Utilities" tab and then "Rebuild Index".

5. Click on OK to close.

I tried it and ran into more error messages.  Though the notes are sill there, the green marker of the verse numbers (to indicate presence of notes) disappeared.

I've been having the same issue.

When I tried Ken's suggestion, and at first I still had the issue.  I tried restarting the program and now it's fixed.

Thanks Ken!
