How to stop brackets from appearing when pasting from clipboard
When I paste with "text only" on my word processor, any words I copied from Online Bible that are in italics instead appear in brackets. To illustrate with an example verse, Romans 5:16 (NKJV) contains many words in italics due to the translators adding words for clarity:
And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.
If I paste Romans 5:16 (NKJV) as "text only," however, brackets appear everywhere:
And the gift [is] not like [that which came] through the one who sinned. For the judgment [which came] from one [offense resulted] in condemnation, but the free gift [which came] from many offenses [resulted] in justification.
When I paste as "text only," I don't want brackets to appear. Instead, I'd like it to look like the following:
And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.
Is there a way I can configure Online Bible to do this so that I won't have to manually remove the brackets every time I paste a verse as "text only"? Thanks!

Are you using the latest program version 5.90? When I copy and paste using plain text (with NKJV) the brackets are not included.

I am using Version 5.90. Despite this, the brackets appear. They also appear when I try other versions--even commentaries where italics are used--so the cause isn't translation-specific. Any thoughts on what could be causing my app to use brackets? Thanks for reaching out!
I have a small troubleshooting solution for you.
I just adapted a small app that I created for personal needs for another project around the bible. It is not extraordinary, but it allows to parse text with a simple copy/paste.
It does not need installation, just unzip the archive and run brackets_parse.exe.
We paste the text and we press the button, the text is cleaned of brackets and pasted in the clipboard.

Thank you, @onezim. I tried the app, and it does remove the brackets. However, I'm looking for a way to remove the brackets without having to open up an app each time. I would like the brackets to be omitted as soon as I copy the text from Online Bible. I do thank you for letting me know about your app, though. 🙂
